Queens-Long Island Renal Institute (QLIRI) is licensed by the New York State Department of Health, and is led by a dedicated, interdisciplinary team of experienced Nephrologists and Dialysis Registered Nurses, a Renal Social Worker, and a Registered Renal Dietitian. Our team is ready to meet the individual needs of dialysis patients and families in Queens and Nassau Counties.
Dr. Simon E. Prince, FACP, FASN
Medical Director
Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine as a diplomat in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, Dr. Prince has gained recognition as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology. His training includes experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Kidney transplant training at the Rogosin Institute- New York Hospital, Cornell. QLIRI’s Medical Director is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine, and has won accolades for teaching medical students and residents at local hospitals. Dr. Prince gives community service lectures and teaches Nephrology at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is active at North Shore Hospital and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Medical Staff Society and the North Shore Physician Organization. Dr. Prince is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, Renal Physicians Association and the American College of Physicians.

Nurse Manager/Executive
Patients and their families, as well as the staff of QLIRI, will benefit greatly from the depth of expertise and experience in chronic dialysis unit administration, interdisciplinary management and professional supervision possessed by Adrienne L. LaValley, RN. She has thorough experiential knowledge as well as comprehensive clinical skills in total hemodialysis patient care and support, including infection protection, bleeding precautions, dietary and laboratory counseling, managing anemia and bone metabolism, and optimizing staff schedules and patient appointments.
